Drivers further education

'Keep your options open' is the common theme for all of Liikenneturva's driver training programmes and they aim to teach the drivers to recognise the risks in traffic and also, to take them into consideration in their every-day traffic behaviour.

Courses for different target groups

Liikenneturva has developed training which follows the principles and guidelines of anticipatory driving for these target groups:

  • moped drivers
  • motorcyclists
  • automobile drivers
  • elderly drivers
  • drivers of heavy vehicles
  • snowmobile riders

Liikenneturva is in charge

Liikenneturva designs the programmes, manufactures the study material for the courses and trains the course staff. Liikenneturva does not train the drivers themselves. Six-day trainer courses are held annually as often as is deemed necessary. Courses are also offered to special groups, for example companies whose personnel have to use a car in their line of work and those companies who are involved in the field of professional traffic.

Self-study

The most wide-spread form of further education takes place as self-study.
