The Nordic Road Safety Council (NRSC)

The Nordic Road Safety Council is an umbrella organization for Liikenneturva in Finland, Rådet För Större Färdselssikkerhed (RFSF) in Denmark, Nationalföreningen för Trafiksäkerhetens främjande (NTF) in Sweden, Trygg Trafikk in Norway, Umferdarstofa on Iceland and Radid fyrir ferdslutrygdför on the Faroe Islands. In swedish and in Scandinavia NRSC is known as Nordiska Trafiksäkerhetsrådet.

279 people died in road traffic accidents in 2009

In 2009, there were 6,414 road traffic accidents which resulted in bodily damages. In these accidents, 279 people died and 8,057 people were injured. With regards to fatalities, there were 65 cases less than in 2008. Also the number of accidents leading to bodily damage had decreased, as had the number of actual injuries. Read more Yearbook...
