The Road Traffic Directorate in Iceland is a public institution with the aim to increase road safety.

The Road Traffic Directorate works according to a toad safety plan wich The Icelandid Parlament made an agreement about.The main aim is to increase respect for law and rules in traffic to avoid accidents and to decrease fatalities and serious injuries in traffic.
